Educational Software Training
Project Description

This is an initial session designed as a part of an anticipated or future need. The school district is planning to implement a new computer adaptive program named Read Nation to improve tier II and tier III instruction. In order to use this program efficiently, teachers need to be familiar with the nuances of the software and be able to pull data reports to inform future instructional needs.

Aim

This training aims to familiarize participants with how Read Nation works and what student lessons look like. A brief description of the components of Read Nation assessments and designing on-demand assessments will also be included. We will discuss the logistics of how to make it work in a classroom environment and explain how to pull/use Read Nation reports to inform instruction. Lastly, Read Nation teacher resources and campus resources will be explored during this session.

Target Audience

Target Audience would include classroom teachers and campus administrators.

Delivery Options

The training will be delivered in a blended format. The participants will use the online computer adaptive software to familiarize themselves with the program. A presenter will walk them through various scenarios in a face-to-face presentation done simultaneously.
